This Defender was built pre-covid with the goal of serving as an exceptional on-road daily driver, with the ability to go anywhere off-road and camp in comfort. This was professionally built to my custom specs with almost every component sourced directly from the UK, using Land Rover parts where possible and best-of-breed components for performance, comfort and longevity when there was a better option. Over $100K spent for vehicle and upgrades.
Everything mechanical has been replaced except for the transfer case and the body, which are in excellent shape. It remains free of rust; with only a few corrosion spots on the driver and rear doors where the aluminum and steel didn’t play well.
It’s well capable of 80 on the highway, tracking straight as an arrow, with heated leather seats and LR a/c. Once you turn off the road, the combination of performance tuned engine components, the adjustable OME suspension with a 3” lift, soft springs and anti-sway bars both front and rear, let you eat up the worst roads and trails with speed in relative comfort. When the going gets rough, it maintains articulation for the slower, technical stuff you might run into trying to camp as far away from civilization as possible. The interior rear is equipped with inward facing seats, a National Luna dual control fridge/freezer curb side, and the extra wheel holder driver rear has been converted to storage for solar panels and other stuff. There is a removable carpet covered "bench" that spans the two benches for your favorite dog(s) so they can have a solid and safe travel experience even when the road gets rough. Soft storage has been added on the rear door and Alucab floor for more overlanding capacity.
